SELF DRIVE

If you're coming from anywhere in Europe, getting to us by car is easy. Here are some approximate times. The roads in France are not congested, well sign posted and easy to follow.

From the UK you can opt for different ferries or the Eurotunnel from Folkstone to Calais which is a faster service.

Calais - 6-7 hours

Caen - 5 hours

Le Havre - 5 hours

Amsterdam - 10-11 hours

Paris - 3 hours

Car hire

Perhaps a fly-drive is the best option for you so that you have a car for exploring the area. We can help you find a local car rental company.​

FERRY

There are a multitude of ferry companies to cross the channel and prices can be very competitive. Popular destinations in France are Calais, Le Havre and Cherbourg.

Tri-Topia is situated between two good airports - Limoges and Poitiers 

We run a transfer service from both airports (€50 one way) - no extra costs for your bike bags!

​

The two main operators are Ryan Air and Easyjet, with daily flights from most airports in the UK. The flight takes about one hour.

​

Alternatively, you could Fly to Paris, Bordeaux, or Bergerac and hire a car or take the train to Poitiers. If need any help organizing your travels, we are more than happy to help.

The French network is considered to be one of the best in the world. With reliable, frequent and comfortable trains it’s a great way to see the country. 

​

Take the Eurostar and get to Paris in just under 2 hours. The TGV service from Paris to Poitiers is very quick and comfortable. You can easily transport bikes on the train. Look on Rail Europe for scheduled routes.
